I was wondering if someone could tell me when the cutoff date is, where the "humped HPOP" , 3" air plenums and wastegated turbo became standard? I called on a '99 with a build date of May, he wasn't sure what I was talking about.

Up to 2/28/99 build date would be an early '99 I believe. Mine is an 11/98 and my turbo is wastegated, I also have 3" intake ect..

Thanks for the info! Do you know if your HPOP is the mystical "humped pump"? The humped pump is supposed to deliver more oil. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif I have just heard that people desire the '99.5 over the '99 for whatever reason. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Maybe the turbo is different as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Garza is wrong. THe correct date is December 8th 1998 for the 99.5 unofficial designation. Up till December 7th you got a catalytic converter. As of the 8th you did not.
