I am looking at a used 02 7.3 to buy. I noticed the turbo intake elbow had a brown glaze. Facing the engine from the front of the truck, it is on the right side in front of the turbo. Best described as the part that feeds the right pipe to the intercooler. Would this glaze indicate a overheat issue? Not a problem?
I dont know myself. Any help is appreciated.

it is fairly common... if you are worried about it take the hose off and check for turbo shaft play... if it is good and the fins look good I would not worry about a little bit of color.
