Hi,
I have a 1990 Ford F-250 with a 7.3 Diesel. Can anyone please tell me where the condensate drain is on the evaporator housing ? Do I have to pull the inner fender well to get at it, or can I get it by reaching around the top some how or should I take the housing apart ?
Last year I'm pretty sure a wasp got in there and plugged it up. :grin2:

It's very difficult to find from below (because it's above the frame rail), and even-harder from the wheelwell (because it's behind the bottom lip of the evaporator cover). The easiest way is to pull the heater core out.

In this pic, it's directly below the temperature blend door; directly Left of the white transmission dipstick; and a few inches Right of the yellow blower motor resistor plate:

Removing the wheelwell will not help. If you remove the evaporator, DO NOT vent the refrigerant - the whole system will come out sealed & charged.

OK Steve,

Thanks for the reply. Now if only we could be blessed with a cooler day down here in Florida so it will be easier to work on. Heat index for the last 2 weeks has been over 100.
