Recently I have noticed my 05 smoking alot at takeoff, mostly leaving a stop light. It doesn't do it all the time, but when it does, there is not much power. It feels like I am in a manual and starting off in 3rd gear, so that leads me to believe it might be tranny related. Any thoughts?

Is the idle noise quieter than you recall when sitting at a stop light? If so, I bet the EGR Valve is hung open. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The idle noise is the same and the EGR cooler and valve were just replaced about 2,000 miles ago. It really seems like it is bogging down, like it is not down shifting when I come to a stop. It has been doing this since before the EGR work, but the tech said it was not tripping any codes.
