Driving along yesterday and all of the sudden my abs lite came on and about 2 minutes later on came the brake lite and they have stayed on ever since. I can remember reading about the speed sensor for the abs but I was wondering if antone has seen both come on or if it is just bad luck and I have 2 problems.

I've had this same exact problem for a couple of days and havent found anything yet. I know its time for new pads but I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. If I find something I'll post it.

edit: I read in the manual that the parking brake light will come on and stay on if the brake fluid is low. So I came home and checked mine and whaddaya know... Gonna fill it up and hope it takes care of it.

Had the same problem, but then the speedo quit working at low speed, and the check engin light came on. Turned out it was a wheel sensor for the ABS.

Well I replaced my speed sensor and still have both lights on after about a dozen starts(Iread on here it took 6 starts to clear the lights). I will go out and check the fluid and see if thats it.

I have the same problem, changed out the speed sensor, but the abs and ses light remain on, Also, the OD light on the shifter is flashing. Truck runs the same, just the lights are annoying. I wounder if there is a loose wire somewhere. Oh well, I'll have to keep checking when I get somemore time.

Fixed!!!! I finally found time to check the fluid and it was low. After I topped it off all lights are off.
