My neighbor has a 01-F150-V8-4WD. on snow covered roads when he hits the brakes,all 4 wheels lock up on it with the slightest touch.Any ideas? thanx-tripod /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If the wheels are not turning (releasing) at all, then it sounds like the ABS is not working.

If the tires are locking at low deceleration, then he is exceeding the traction capability of the tires under snow conditions. This can be the tires fault, or there is too much energy (speed) for the conditions. Especially with a pickups low weight on the rear tires under empty conditions.

But if the tires are really bad and the grooves fill up with snow and ice without clearing, then when the ABS releases the wheel tire, there may not be enough traction to get the wheels back up and turning.
