I have replaced the caliper & brake hose on the passenger side and it is still pulling very hard to the left side. The ABS light will come on and stay on until I turn the truck off. It might not come back on for a day and then it comes on again. Any idea what this could be? This is on a 2000 F-350

Thanks

Sliders on both sides are greased and moving fine. Brake fluid is new and flowing fine.

I have been told that the sensors tell the ecu and then tells the Master Cylinder how much pressure to send to each caliper if I understand correctly.... Don't know if this is true. Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

Is your front end alignment OK? What about air pressure in the tires being the same. What about tire condition. You may be able to rotate the tires and solve the pulling to one side. If the brakes are pulling that hard to the left then you should be showing some serious wear on the pads on that side. The ABS light may be just a sensor giving a problem.

On Edit...Check the back brakes too. They can cause the truck to pull to one side also.

Front end is find, tires are fine, air pressure is fine.

Need to add something else to this problem. I had turned my front routers about 3-5k miles ago and the drivers one looks fine, but when you look at both the front and back of the passanger front it looks like it was just turned.... and this is after 3-5k miles put on it.

Like I said before, I have replaced the pass caliper and brake hose, also have regreased the slides on both sides.

I did just go buy a new VSS sensor and will see if this clears up the problem with the ABS light or not.

Thanks

Is it pulling to the left all the time or just when you apply the brakes? If just when applying brakes then it sounds like you still have a problem on the passenger side especially since reading your last post.
I think I'd jack the passenger side up, spin the tire and have someone apply the brakes to see if that side is working at all.

When we had it off the ground and I pressed on the brake, the pistons compressed and pushed the pads againest the router. I don't know if he had spun the wheel while I did this but I will find out.

Also, the fluid flows fine, not problem at all.

Thanks

did you rotate the tires? I had a set of Yokahama's that deveopled a bad radail pull after 15k miles on them, the tire store had two other customers have the came thing happen and they wound up replacing them with Michelins

Well, I bought the truck used so how would I know?

I did install the rear ABS trans sensor and it did nothing for my pulling issue.

We did today swap from one side to the other the front ABS sensors and it is still pulling to the left side.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

Thanks,
Wayne
