I am trying to remove the door lock actuators on the rear door of 97 f350 crew cab. Have door panel off and located actuator. Appers to be setting in bracket and pin holding in place can't see how to remove that pin. I looked with mirror. Any ideas I looked at archives for over and hour all the talk about is how to repair actuator.Which I plan on trying.

Some where near it there should be a bolt or a rivet holding the bracket on the actuator to the door...

I hope Someone will straighten me out if I 'm wrong

Yes their is rivet holding the bracket, but I thought you could take just the actuator out and leave the bracket mounted.

Drive the center out of the rivet with a small punch , use a 1/4 in drill bit to remove the rivet..

Unless you have an air operated rivet gun you will have to use a bolt to replace it , not too bad of a job...
