Very shortly I will be getting a 39' Cedar Creek 5th wheel, and will be pulling it with my '03 F350 6.0 PSD. I was wondering if it would be in my best interest to have an aftermarket gage cluster installed where I could monitor boost pressure, exhaust temp, and transmission temps. This trailer will be in the neighborhood of 11k - 13k weight, and I want to make sure everything is within parameter when in tow. I don't know how reliable the stock tranny temp indicator is, and feel i may need something more accurate. Feel free to chime in with any recommendations, and is this something I should have Ford install? I know that this is in no way modifying the performance of the engine or drivetrain, but if something were to head south, I dont want there to be any question from the dealership about something affecting warranty. I guess I've become a tad gunshy about dealing with warranty issues after reading thru the magnitude of posts on these forums, and the troubles people are having dealing with warranty issues. Thanks in advance.

trans, temp gauge and boost and exhaust gas temp, are the main gauges you should have installed for nothing else but your peace of mind.they are in no way performance mods, and give you a idea of what if anything seems odd and what it may be.now do you need them? no but they can save a trans, and a turbo if you know what to watch for.
