Snake oil.

As long as you run a quality oil in your truck no additives are needed

I use it for low end skip stiction in 7.3s and the high end skip of 6.0s.
You can watch it work. Good buzz test but is a dead non oil discharging injector. It will get it working again. I have gotten texts and emails like," hey, I'm driving down the road and want to know where my truck is, this must be someone else's. This is awesome, I do not remember last time it ran this well.
Keep in mind if the wear/ damage is substantial, it's not going to bring them back.

Before buying injectors it's well worth trying for $60. It may take as much as 4K in miles to fully work. Always use it and you stay out of the woods.

If your having a stiction problem use Archoil you will start noticing A difference within 10 miles. That hotshots stuff you have to wait about 4000 miles. Archoil it's Not Snake oil, it works I'm using it right now. I have about 3000 miles using it. I noticed it within 2 miles this stuff is awesome. I'm using the oil and fuel additive. I haven't had to plug my truck in yet this year on the cold mornings. I don't ever recommend anything because nothing ever seems to work like they say it supposed to, but this is different. I have over 343,000 miles on my truck with original injectors.

If you have to add a additive to your oil to help your engine then you are masking a problem that needs to be addressed with the engine.

I know of a couple of 7.3's that have gone well over 500K miles on regular dino oil with nothing extra put into it, just good maintenance.

Here's the deal; some say snake oil due to them not feeling a big increase in power. Well maybe because all of your injectors are working, your fuel cetane rate is at 50 or better, clean and relatively dry oh and don't live in brutally cold winter areas. As far as lubricity goes, it's a fact that ultra low is lacking in lubricity for that reason.
Why not clean up a fuel system?
Why not get your cetane rate right?
Why not get lubricity level to at least where it used to be when diesel contained more sulfur when the injection system was designed and manufactured?
Why not use an additive to pull emulsified water together in a demulsified action so it can be better collected instead if running thru the system?
Why not try to free up sticky injectors before spending big money on injector? Perhaps you bought it used, you don't want to try to free them up first?
Why not clean up a funky fuel system?
Why not embrace them for the preventive measure?

I agree and disagree with it only masking the problem. It depends on what the problem is that your addressing. Just a quick example to explain myself.
The inside of our spool valves in our HEUI injectors can become gummed up with carbon and oil coking. The spool valve is the part that opens and closes to let the high pressure oil in and back out of the injectors. When they start sticking with friction = stiction and an additive cleans all the build up off and you don't have to replace or rebuild your fuel injectors and there is nothing else wrong with them. I call that a cure a remedy.

On the other hand if the spool valves are wore with excessive wear then no additives that I'm aware of will fix your problem. The only cure is to replace them. But the Archoil additive will still help mask the problem. Which is what I believe I'm doing. I have purchased new new o-rings for the inside and outside of my fuel injectors. I'm getting ready to rebuild them.

I wish I had done better maintenance on her over the years. :disappointed:

I used the archoil in my 7.3. Just before the injectors decided they wanted to burn oil instead of fuel. I noticed a difference right off the bat. It just felt better. Maybe it was even a little quieter. With new injectors now I haven't done anything but add a quart of lucas. But I have only put about 5 k miles since then.

Thanks for all the info. My truck has 355000 miles on it, and is running fine. I bought the truck used, and don't know all the history, so I was just looking at more preventative maintenance than fixing a problem.

Does anyone ever add Seafoam to the engine oil, a few hundred miles before an oil change?

I have been using Rotella T6 for over 200,000 miles now, when I had the valve covers off to replace glow plugs the inside of the valve covers and head literally looked new. Also don't know if it is related or not but when I pulled the glow plugs they had zero build up on them, a quick wipe with a rag and they were perfectly clean...
