I can never remember - which way do you turn the adjuster to spread the drum-in-hat pads? Down or up? Is it different for driver vs passenger?

Thanks - Shawn

Up on the star wheel spreads the pads and down tightens. Click up until you feel drag on the rotors (drums) and then back off until spins free!

Are you sure? IIRC I adjusted the star downward to set the shoes against the drums. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I can never remember, I always go the wrong way first. IIRC I always try down first. And I think it is the same direction on both sides. (unless someone replaced the adjustment shaft with the wrong side)

Just had this same issue going the wrong way first.... It is down I believe. I found it hard to get both wheels the same (I still want is better) The midship ajuster also seems funny as if your wheels arent the same it is not even and may effect the linkage and petal force.

I have not even addressed the "midship" adjuster. What is down there and how do you adjust it? I have just done each wheel. Thanks
