After installing Stage 1's with cold motor I have a smooth idle, after motor warms up it has a slight miss and like a slight surge up and down. Just guessing I will have better fuel mileage along with the power, thanks, Les. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

I put about 225 miles on it now, the rough idle sesms to be getting worse, right after installing I drove about 5 miles and it smoothed out and ran like a new motor. With my chip set on stock it should not be overfueling at idle, can't see or smell excess fuel, not sure whats going on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had the same problem when I installed my MD stage 2's, so it's not bean's injectors causing it. I played with mine for awhile. What finally fixed it was putting on the SP Dongle. Which tells me that the EBP sensor has something to do with it. You can get the dongle or try cleaning the tube out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

This is not a problem just for bean's stuff, it does happen with other injectors too!

Clayton, can you explain the dongel, does it trick the backpresure sensor, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, haven't even talked to Ryan yet, since its the weekend I'm sure he needs time for his own stuff. I had the tube off not long ago and it was clear, thought I might clean the fuel screen since its been a while, just looking for info fron guys that have been there and done that, thanks, Les.

I also noticed when I put the dongle on it smoothed out the idle on my stage II's quite a bit.

Les,

Not meaning that you were pointing fingers, just ment that bean's injector weren't the problem. it happens with other injectors too.

The dongle shows the PCM a set psi reading. It was the best $20 ever spent. You can make one, but theirs is very well built. I would try it first, before pulling the injectors! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Just got in from three day weekend in Indy, wow now that was fun.

I am not sure what the deal is with the idle issues that we have had, been a few of them just like that, dine cold but as it warms it gets worse. I am wandering if Clayton might be on to something. I am very interested in having someone try a SP dongel and see if that helps.

Most of the time there winds up being something wrong in one of the injectors, stuff like scored plunger, dirt stuck in the poppet, dirt stuck in the check ball or a problem with somthin in teh machin work done that Cass didnt catch before it went out. I feel as though the idle with the II's is due to more fuel at idle, teh I's should idle the same as stock.

I will get to the bottom of this.

It might have something to do with the ebp. I know with mine I get a code saying excessive backpressure. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Injectors should be here today so we will see how they work. All I have to say is Bean has done all possible to help me get things worked out.

They are great. got them dynoed the other day at bullydog and got 406hp 760tq. The idle when it is warm is still a little lopy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif but I am used to it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif Now I just need more oil. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Is that with all chip settings including stock? I think the EBP can mess with a lot of things on these trucks drive me nuts.

Nice sig bulrid8! Know why divorce is so expensive cause it's worth it!
I too had to give up most of my toys a couple of years ago for the same cause but getting caught back up now and got better ones this time including the new wiff, hang in there.
