Just replaced my water pump and fuel filter, the old girl fired right up and I drove to a local bluegrass fest. This morning after camping out she wouldn't start, replaced the new fuel filter with another fuel filter still no start. Does this sound like the injector pump or fuel pump biting the dust??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

What are the chances of the water pump and fuel pump dying on the same day? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Were you very careful on the two upper bolt replacement in the water pump. If not, possibly bolts were to long and broke the shaft in the IP.

I guess I was careful, I used the same ones and put some form-a-gasket on them. The fuel/inj. pump problem started the day before the water pump went out. She wouldn't start on a Monday morning then the waterpump started leaking in my driveway on Tuesday. I replaced the waterpump and fuel filter then drove it about 75 miles with no problems. I started it a few times during the trip with no problems, then Sunday morning she wouldn't start.

Got her towed back to the house and just trying to figure what to replace... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Check the lift pump for pressure and volume, and put clear hoses on the filter to #1 injector and IP to #2 injector and watch for air intrusion. Search under my name for pump info.

Were ya showing anyone your engine at the festival, did they pull the FSS wire by any chance......
