Aftermarket heated seat install, where to source switched DC?

03 SD with leather power bucket seats. Where do I tap into for switched DC with key on? If I have to use a relay driven by switched key on what would be the best place to run the wires under the seat? Pull carpet or door sills? Come up from under the truck? I know someone has done this and I would like to learn from that experience.
