Just bought my '03 King Ranch Crew 4WD and first order of business is a leveling kit and a more aggressive tire. Would like to keep the stock 16" wheel which im sure limits me to some extent. Can anyone recommend a good looking, aggressive tire that still does fairly well on the street and will work with a leveling kit only? I searched the forums and didn't come up with a good 16" answer...

Also, being a bit of a rookie, what is the difference between load rating D and E?

Thanks for the help

Its a bit harder to find agressive tires with a E load rating. I had to get D rating BFG mud terrains. I have a dually so I wasnt concerned about the rating as much since I have two extra tires. The biggest I could fit on 16's was 255/85. I believe you could fi 285's with a 2 inch leveling kit. Thats what I was told but didn't want my truck all that much taller.

I would suggest the 285 75 r16 super swamper trxus mud terrain. Its rated as a load range D but the actual numbers show it to be up there near the load range E tires.

I also love the Toyo MT's. I believe they have an E rated tire in your size.
