Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone knows of what kind of results i should see after installing this plug and deleting the Air Intake heater altogether??? any fuel mileage increase??? Lower EGTs? more hp?? any information will be helpful. thanks

i think it is one of those mods that in theory will work but in our heavy all trucks you cant really feel it that much. it does block off 20% of air in the intake. all i did was pull it out and cut off all the spring and "crap" on the inside flush. reconnected all the wires and, perfect, free and no engine light.

There is one thing guarenteed you will get...Piece of mind that the heater element won't break apart and destroy your engine. That is a rarity but I remember a post from a while back from a TDS member that it happened to. All the other stuff you mentioned, you may see the tiniest of gais from the deletion but it isn't gonna be anything to "write home about" if you know what I mean.

If you do a search you find some good posts on this. There has been posting on air volume and flow, that in theory you should see benefits.

Its a cheap mod, and as Hammer69 posted, its a piece of mind.

If you want the plug to do this mod PM me, I took mine out after only having it for less than 500 miles for reasons to long to talk about right now but you could do a search. But I just have it sitting in my cup holder right now so anyone that wants it can have it for the cost of postage, I got it from a sponser off of this site.
