Hi guys
I have a 2002 F350 now. I have a code 33, for a passenger side air bag intermittent fault. Has anyone had this? Am I safe to disconnect the batteries for a half hour, unconnect the harness to the air bag and apply dielectric grease and reconnect? Would like some advice before bringing to the dealer.

Thanks!

Joe, you do not need to wait that long to deplete the backup power supply energy. One minute is the required time. Dielectric grease is not required. If you suspect a bad connection, disconnect the vehicle negative connection, access the relative connectors, perform a close visual inspection and simply reconnect everything. Then reconnect the vehicle negative battery connection. and see if the warning lamp and code return. DO NOT ever test airbag circuits with a multi-meter or self powered test light without disconnecting the airbags. It is best to install simulators in their place. (just had to add that tid-bit of safety info)
