Hi I have a 1995 Ford E350 ambulance my voltage meter says 11.65 smell something melted the other day and I have the alternator tested and it said low voltage so I replace the alternator and the low voltage has not changed what am I missing

A 95 is not an IDI, it's a PSD computer controlled. It has a serpentine belt which is unlikely to slip. There are two fuses in the power distribution box under the hood, a five and a ten amp fuses. Check the wire on the alternator Orange/Lite Blue, I think that is the wire color, goes to the S terminal, with the key ON, there should be battery voltage there.

I worked on those ambulances years ago. Check for melted fusible links or melted wiring by the starter or by the battery behind the headlight. I think it was the drivers side iirc but I'm not 100% certain. I honestly can't remember if the ambulances had an external regulator or not, may want to look at that if it does and the associated wiring.
