whitch oil bypass do you think is the best for the 6.0. i read someone say on another forum that with the amsoil bypass you lose 10% of your oil pressure or 3 to 6 lbs of pressure and with the oilguard is only 5%. what do you think?

Either one looks like a good product to me. Some guys here like the FS2500 too

i like how the oil returns to the oil pan on the FS2500 and not down the oil fill on one side of the head.

FS-2500 pics available in my signature. follow the link. There is a filler neck kit now also. So returning oil to the pan is optional now.

The Amsoil bypass filter setup that I installed has a restrictor orifice where the filter screws on. This keeps the pressure up. Maybe the older models didn't have this.
At high-idle the oil flows really well.
I used two 8 foot sections of braided stainless aircraft hose to mount the filter on the frame rails under the truck. (Custom made at a local aircraft hose supply company- $80 each, and they have blue anodized fittings to match the blue Amsoil aluminum caps.) It looks great, and my Blackstone reports have been excellent.
I recommend any one of the bypass systems, the Amsoil setup keeps my oil very clean. I'm sure they all work well.

There is a longevity issue with the older amsoil (bypass) filters. The media is attached to the inner tube of the filter and loosens up over time. I say this from personal experience. If you remove it to drain the old oil, flip it back and forth. You can hear the media sliding up and down on the tube which allows the oil to bypass the bypass (fancy words aye?). You're lucky to get a year out of it.
