It happened again today. Major tranny slipage for about 2-3 seconds. Changed to Royal Purple 'bout 10k ago and ive only had the programmer up to 100hp then down back to 70-80. It slipped badly last week but didnt again untill today. Being a college dude with little money im faced with a problem. I would love a built Suncoast but i like my arms and legs. I found a few "built" tranies on ebay but i need feedback on weather they are trustworthy. and finally do i just buy a good valvebody and hope for the best untill i have enought money? im tuning it back down to stock this afternoon. Thanks for your help guys.

Give me a price range for a tranny? Monster Box is about $3000 with free shipping... Pull the codes too and see whats happening.

Ill post codes 2night. i just want to prolong its life for a little while longer. I dont haul much if anything at all since going to school. My mother has had surgury recently for the 5th time on her back and my roommates and i have had not the greatest of luck of late. im finally not living paycheck to paycheck anymore but only recently. 3000 would take months at least for me and my family. i need a bandaid for it for a little while. if a valve body stops or slows the destruction ill jump on it i just need some recomendations on where and who to go to for a good one. i have a max budget of 400. Thank you all for you help

Depends on where you go to school... and if your parents pay for it...

Might try PMing Richter69, he's a wiz w/these trannies. If you're good w/a wrench and got a few buddies that wouldn't mind helping, you could do a budget rebuild on the tranny yourself. Richter will set you up w/all the info you will need to determine if you're capable of doing it, he can also get you the parts.

If the tranny is on its way out a VB is not a band-aide its more like assisted suicide. It will just kill it quicker and you will be out the $$ for the VB
