How long have you had your truck? I thought it was a kinda weird thing, but once I got used to it, I like it. You don't need to push it to the opposite direction to turn it off, just a direction. Also, if you just "half press" it, it does a "lane change" signal. It will blink 3 times (5 times if you have a trailer hooked up), then turn off. It takes some getting used to, but I think it's a great system.

Oh, to answer your question, no. I never really thought of a replacement for it.

I agree with edjunior. Took some getting used to but love it now. Really like the lane change feature too. Use that a lot.

I'm not sure it can be converted. Most all signals in these trucks these days go into a control module that's programmed. My guess is that even with an old school lever, the lights and flasher feature are still going to be controlled via the body control module.

As stated above, it is all computer controlled.. changing the lever IF you could would not change anything.

It took a little while to adjust but I really like the new one now. My wife's Buick is old style and I now find it a PIB to use.
