I tested my 2002 F-350 SD with the Fleetguard 3-way test strips. It showed "row 2" for the Molybdate and "row D" for the Nitrite. Intersecting at 1.4 in the green area of the chart on the back of the package.

I have a "Diesel cooling system additive" purchased from Ford that says meets Ford spec ESN-M99B169-A. Is this the right additive, if so, how much do I need to add.

Which system do I have, COMPLEAT or ES? According to the Fleetguard package, each system is serviced differently.

Any help for a Gold Coolant diesel rookie would be greatly appreciated.

If you are running Gold your Molybate should be at zero unless you have added FW-16 or another DCA-4 additive in the past. The levels are suppose to be between 1.2 and 3.0 with 2.0 being ideal. You can use a DCA-4 additive or a DCA-2 additive like Nappa Kool. Gooch recommended the DCA-2 but either can be used as I said. The Ford # is FW-15 OR FW=16 and I 160z bottle should put you at 2.0 as from another post I read that one bottle will raise .6 . All this confusion over coolants has me switching to a good true ELC soon.
