I’ve heard so much good about Jody’s tuning I just had to try it out. My old SCMT just doesn’t have some of things I need. I talked to Jody today and he is sending me a new PCM tomorrow tuned for my truck. I’m getting the 80 hp program. I may go to the 100 or 120 hp later with my old PCM.

Mine already arrived and I can't wait to try it, but I'm being patient. You might actually be able to enjoy yours before I can enjoy mine. The guages and exhaust should be here soon and the chip won't go in until those items are in. I've already removed the AIH and will gut the EBV when I install the Wicked Wheel.

Now, I need to roast the trans so that I can justify a BTS!! And THEN...well, you know how addictive HP is...

BTW...Jody is GREAT to work with. He is very patient and forthcoming with his knowledge.

I got my 80HP PCM Monday and of course I installed it right away. WOW!!! SHEWEEE!!!!!!!!! This thing is GREAT!!! I cant keep my foot out of it. I am going to be pulling with it this weekend and cant wait to see how much better it does.
My EGT's went from hitting 1300 with no problem to barely being able to hit the 1200 and thats REALLY getting in it and I have what seems like double the power!!! Normal driving about is about 400-600, and on the highway at about 80MPH goes to about 600-700.

[/ QUOTE ] i pull an 8000lb boat with mine and the temps never get over 10.5 most of the time....saw 11 a few times pulling a big grade with my foot in it pretty good...most of the time on the hwy it stays around 8 to 9 at 70 mph....crap....im still stock on my intake and exaust with these temps too... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif made a HUGE difference when pulling my boat....hills that used to slow me down to 55 or 60, and want to knock it out of od.....i can now rip up at 70 mph and still be gaining if i get into it........ cant go wrong with jodys stuff for sure...gobs of good clean power....

I had the DIABLOSPORT 54HP towing chip. It just seemed to run too hot, especially when towing. I would always find myself hitting the 1300 mark!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif With the DIABLOSPORT chip it just plain ran odd, it made the turbo sound like it was always stalling, and making a woooshing sound, now it just spools up like mad. It was in the truck when I bought it so I cant complain. I found the reciept of it and they charged him $495 and I found it on the web and they still sell it for that!! ARE THEY NUTS? And it blew out LOTS of black smoke. I get some now but it isn't near as thick.

I will definately post up some temps pulling after this weekend. I honestly didnt think I was going to see this much improvement. I am super happy. Next weekend I am gutting the EBPV and installing the WW, so I should notice some differences there too.

I 4 position chip today. (Stock, Tow, Eco, 100)
I replaced a DI Stock, 50, 75, 110. Now I liked the DI chip but I have heard some much about Jody and after talking to him a couple of time I had to try one on his tunes.

The pull mode is stronger than the old 75 and has much better TC lock programing.

The Econ mode pulls very strong through 1 and 2 but does not seem to want to down ship when you step on the peddle to go. I will try it a few more days to see if I like the tune before I call Jody.

The 100 seem even stronger the the DI 110 and the smoke cleared up a little better and the EGT were much less.

So far very impressed now to see if I can get anything for the old chip.

I comment yeserday that my new DP Tuner chip set on Econ was not down shifting when I stepped on the go peddle. I behaved much better today and it is very strong.

This is my first post, but I have been reading for about a year. I just installed Jody's 3 position chip less than a week ago. tow, econ, and 120 hp. The chip makes alot more power than my SCMT did. My transmission is now slipping so I can't get on it too hard until I get another one. No fault of the chip, the truck has been drove hard and pulled to very heavy loads.

I just became another happy member of the dp program! What a difference tuning makes. I have big 35 tires and it easily breaks them loose when the tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd in the 50hp mode. I had to return the chip because I failed to tell jody about the 35 x 17 wheels (oops). So my converter is locking up way too early. Not a problem, talked to Jody and he will get it fixed for me. I should have the chip back sometime next week. I only got to drive it for a little bit, but it sure kicks but!!
