Hey all, I'm looking into a new turbo, I'm going towards a tn unit. All I do is tow on the weekends and drive it everyday from point a to point b. I very happy with the performance of the curent set up I have, I want to make the truck more reliable at this point. My question is, should I goe with the bb tn coming out soon , or just go with the non BB unit. I'm planing on outlet housing pedasstal and up pipes, while I got the thing all torn apart. Give me some ideas on what you guys think would work good with what I got, Thanks

Well I'm just waiting for the new TN BB to come out it shouldn't be that far off so if you can wait it will be worth it. Give BWD a call and ask them about it and they will be straight up with you.

Can you afford the price difference? It is rather large.

I'm in the same boat. I hope I have a couple of months left before mine lets loose (lots of end play) Just not sure which way to go.
Hey Matt, how do you like the .84? I'm not sure what way to go .84 or 1.0

Thanks,
Big E

I thought it was going to be over $2k.... If not then go for it.
And as far as me liking my .84, I have yet to get the fullness out of it. Between boost leaks, bad MAP and a few other issues, the EX has not been running in top form. The .84 made sence to me because I live at 7000ft and it spools well up here. If I were lower or if I towed big with it, I would go with the 1.0..

Hey Matt, Thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the 1.0 also.

On a side note, I bet the weather up there is fantastic. We have a place in Running Springs, have'nt been there in a few months but might come up soon. good luck on this weekends trafic up there, I'm sure it's going to be busy.

OP. If you can wait then I would go with the BB. If not then I read on here that the non BB unit can be modified later to BB /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I thought I read some where on here that the BB unit was gonna be around $1500 , but that sounded a bit low when you can get a non BB for $1300. Mine is working but it has a lot of end play for my taste, and the woble is proble more than normal too. I don't have any oil leaks, or strange noises, but we all know how faast that can change. I want to keep it below $2000 if I can, so I may goe with the non BB. I think with what I,ve got now for a set up the truck should run really strong, not that it does'nt now. I allways love the look on the guy's face your passing going up hill at 70+ with trailer, bet he wishes he did'nt buy the hemmi dodge ! LOL
