First off thanks a ton Cary. Got everything done tonight, drives like a dream. A little firmer over the bumps but no more smacking the frame. Body roll is almost non existant, and gained about 2.5" of height. After going for a 40 mile drive, I wonder why I waited so long. Like driving a whole diffrent rig. Thanks again Cary.

It makes a big difference when you get on a 2 track or dirt road, it feels more solid and soaks the bumps up nice. Now you have the bug, you will want to go higher now, just get an add a leaf and you can get another 1.5"s with no more work than loosening the U bolts and sliding it in then pinning it to the spring pack. It sure is a job changing the leafs isn't it....did you have to remove the front bumper? I did and it was a job getting it back on by myself, I had to hang it from the rafters and move the truck up to it, then I could bolt it up. I had to line up the push bar too. It did help when I did the line X though since I had done it before.

Never use a add a leaf if you need more height after a V&B spring install you use a hanger kit..IMO!

Glad you like the suspension changes..Ford should have built them this way, just shows engineers aren't always correct.

I used an add a leaf, it is exactly the same as the X code spring set up (3 leaf), it is designed to add lift and is specifically designed for an F350 spring which is what the V code is. Using a shackle to raise it can be tricky too, it puts an additional strain on the shackle because it is much longer now, side loads could cause a real problem. I feel it is much safer to lift with a spring, plus it gives you a progressive rate and really does soften the ride.

Yes i did, previous owner must of had a lift on it one time, all shackle bolts were going the wrong direction. Passenger side wasn't a big deal, but it made the drive side a pain. I have no desire to go any higher, I got everything I needed just from this swap. May be in a year I can buy bigger tires and 18" rims.(with the wifes approval)
