Ok so I have posted this before, but am still confused about a few things, I have the mbrp turbo back exhuast and this system is hooked up to all the stock hangers, right now I still have the cat in, but the system is all over the place, there is way to much movement, the pipe hits the shock, rear leaf spring and the tip hits the body, tighting clamps doesnt seem to do anything, does everyone have this problem, If I had the system welded on would I still be able to change my cat in and out? please help this is one of those things that just keeps bugging me.

Harley, I have the same system on my truck and wihe I first installed it, it did the same thing. Banging, Clanging and hanging lower on one side...(the exhaust system that is) First off, when you look at the pieces of pipe after the cat, you will notice some of them have a slight dog leg in them. Make sure they are in straight up and down and not tilted to the side. The same goes for the muffler...make sure the two outlet pipes are perpendicular to the ground. There is not a whole lot of clearence back there so the slightest bit makes a big difference. Hope this helps.

There will always be some movement in the system, due to the rubber hangars that Ford put on it at the factory (Some folks have ended up putting band clamps on to help knock out some of the movement). But once it is adjusted right, it should not hit anything. I would suggest getting under there and loosening all the clamps and readjusting it yourself, starting from the front and working your way back. There is enough clearance, it just takes some "tweaking" to get it right. Your tailpipe issue in particular has to be just right, or it will hit something. You really need to be under there, move it around a little and see where that "sweet spot" is, then watch as you tighten everything up, to make sure it stays put. When it is adjusted correctly, there should be about an inch or so of clearance between the tip and the body.
