Hi everyone. This is the first time in 15+ years my truck (2000 F350 in sig) has ever had a no start or given me any issue that has kept it off the road. Currently, I have cranking with no start. I have AE and all prerequisites with the exception of injector pulse width are in spec, fuses and relays checked out fine. Harnesses ohm out at 2.9. Buzz test is a no go. So appears that the IDM is faulty. I removed the IDM and opened it up. Looks brand new inside with no corrosion or water intrusion. Outside of IDM looks fine with only a small amount of paint chipping.

Prior to the no start condition I was getting a "Water in Fuel" light periodically. Changed fuel filter and drained every time that light came on, never any water in the fuel.

My first question is does the Water in Fuel circuit send a signal to the IDM?

Anything else I should be looking at or does IDM seem most likely candidate?

Thanks

You can do a pin test on the IDM harness. Go from IDM to injectors. May be a short in the ground for IDM.
