i know some of you have had this same oil leak. dripping down the back of the engine onto the starter and TC plate. doesnt seem to be coming from the oil pan itself. i know theres some plugs on the back of the heads that are known for leaking. anyone have part numbers for the o-rings? any other ideas what may be leaking? thanks

There is a plug behind the downpipe on the passenger'side head. The plug has a 1/2" recess and there is an o-ring on that plug that commonly leaks. You must buy the whole plug and the new ones have a heat resistant o-ring. Also check the plugson top of the high pressure oil rail before you assume it is on the back. Good Luck.

PSDDan000,

Bingo....I would guess you have found it and yes there is the same plug as on the passenger side head and if I am not mistaken these High pressure oil rail plugs are on the front of the block as well. As I recall the driver's side one is a bit of a bear to get at but can be done with some extensions and a universal. It is a square hole just can't remember the size......sorry.
