Tires are: 235-85-16

Hello everyone
I have run nothing but Michelin LTX/M&S tires(prior set) and the current ones at the LTX - MS Defender tires.
I have just found out that Michelin does not make the Defender LTX M&S in the 235-85-16 configuration

Michelin does make a Defender LTX M/S in a LT 265/75R16 tire
Can I use this size or am I just looking for trouble
Thank You

I have a 2wd dually. Tires are 235-85-16. Had to buy the michelin cross climate. I would stick with the correct tire size.

Except- the 265 is really close in diameter and there is room for the footprint. I bought a set of the CrossClimates and absolutely hated the feel. Felt like I was driving on marshmallows. Discount Tire took them back and swapped them for the Defenders.

Hello everyone.

I just looked at the specks on the Michelin Defenders 265-75-16
So as RT alluded, they are practically identical with one exception
The section width for the 235/85 R16 is: 9.3
The section width for the 265/75 R16 is: 10.4

Looking at my truck, I estimate to have maybe 3/4 in space between the Duallys
Also I do carry a 4000 pound Lance truck camper and tow a 5000 pound cargo trailer for my R/V group

RT - Did you have to use spacers and if so could you direct me on where to purchase them?

I have such good luck with the 2 sets Michelin's
I have this set rule that 6 years is the max on a set of tires.
Rotate tires with every oil change
Got 80 k on the first set
Have 70 k on this set
Thank you for the responses
