For best performance, I know the engine needs to be HOT and the intake air needs to be cool, so I'm thinking the fuel needs to be cool, too, correct?
Or is this old school gasser thinking?

I run one.

I don't believe it will make any noticable difference in hp just that your injectors will live longer.

He was asking about high performance guys Sun. Generally high performance involves the motors actually running. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Very funny.

I've gotten very good at pushing my truck around rapidly out at Byron's place. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Should be running soon enough. Thursday or Friday hopefully.

Sure....CAT says that 60* F is optimal temperature for fuel. Thats what temp all engines are dynoed at at the factory.

Jim, nothing wrong with old school racing ideas. I have read lots on here and on Bob Riley's website about fuel coolers, but I still like the idea of having one. Mercedes-Benz has an interesting one, check out my pics-there are a couple shots of a fuel cooler on the suction side a/c line of my wife's 560SEL. I have thought about wrapping some fuel line around our accumulator and insulating it, seems like it would work.
