Anyone make a split rearend for the Dana 70? I'm not paying 2.5k for a Gear Vendors.

I would like a little lower rpms for my truck when I'm on the highway, but would like to keep the C6 tranny I have now.

No. The only thing you can do that has any hope of a payback is to install a taller rear end if you can stand the lack of "go". No way in heck an overdrive unit will ever pay for itself even at today's fuel prices

Yeah, that's the conclusion I came to unfortunately. I think it would come down to a 'cool' factor to have a splitter on the final drive of my truck.

The cheapest under/over drive I was able to find was 1,200 clams /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif.

Right now, I'm more interested in learning how to scuba.

I have a 7.3 PS with a 5-speed, and I know how these things work, I would love to have a US gear unit on there. It would sure be nice to drive. But on top of shelling out all that money there is then the hassle of installing it. Not worth it in the end.
