Just did my 2nd ever ATF fluid and filter change on my 2001 F250 7.3 with 273k. I bought a filter at NAPA and the kit had a gasket in it. I used the gasket that came with the filter for the transmission pan. Once I was done I saw a note it the box that said to only use the gasket that came with the kit on the 1989-1995 vehicles and that 1996 gaskets are reusable.

The pan isn't leaking and I still have the OEM gasket. Should I drain the pan and change the gasket back to OEM or just run with what I did?

If it isn't leaking leave it alone. Save the original gasket for when it does start to leak.
