Does anyone know how I can get my hands on some export taillights with the amber turn signal? I have searched all over with no luck. I have even contacted people in Australia, but most the time they don't know what I am talking about because they sold under another model name. Ant ideas or leads would be appreciated.

Yuck on those.

The Aussie ones don't fit without some customization. If you pull the taillight off your truck, you'll see a brace bar that goes right between the brake and reverse bulbs. In Aussiland, that exactly where the orange bulb goes. You have to remove the brace and tweek the mounts a little to make it work.

I know, I've tried. Bought mine from a Ford dealer in Aussie a few years ago.

I realize they take some work. I just want to be different then almost everybody else. If you hate yours so much, sell them to me. In the very least, could you set me up with your contact in Australia?

Thanks,
Robert

I didn't hate them, I thought they looked cool and different. It just wasn't as easy of swap as I thought it'd be.

That set I sold to a dude on this site years ago, and I don't have any of that info anymore. My recommendation would be to post in the General section about locating someone in Aussieland or use the internet to find a dealer in Australia and e-mail the parts house.

I'll try in the general. I have e-mail many dealers in Australia, but never heard back from any of them. Do you remember what you paid for them?

Thanks,

Robert

TBNR.....I'm interested in these myself and am doing some searching for Australian members of other truck sites I'm involved with.
I also e-mailed one Aussie member from this site.
If I hear anything I'll get in contact with you.......maybe you can keep me in mind too.

Why not buy them and ship them over here to us?
I'd be willing to pay for the lights, shipping and some extra for your troubles.
As far as e-bay..........I don't use it at all so thats out for me. I travel extensively for work so I'm never home long enough to see an auction through to the end.....and I've never bought anything so I'm not qualified for the "buy it now" thing.

UNBROKEN.......I will keep you in mind and thanks for doing the same for me. Maybe if we could get enough people on board we could get a discount.

I had the part numbers saved in a few messages and posts. I had some pics and a write up on how to modify the truck so they would fit and work right. But it has been awhile since I had time to get on here and now they are gone. Can anybody lend a hand?

Dave, I will let you know when I get the info. Maybe I will just buy them from you and get an extra pair for my buddy. I'll let you know.

To everyone who wants Aussie tail lights, heres the bad news.
Tail light assembly for EACH corner is $180 US /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sick.gif, if you want the wiring harness for that corner also its another $195 US. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sick.gif So thats $375US per corner /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
So if you want lights and wiring you are looking at $775 US /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, thats including postage.
There is only the one model available which is in the pictures i posted. If you are still keen to get them let me know.
Postage to the US will be around $25.
The tail lights are genuine Ford items. I have not added anything to the price.
Cheers Dave

Thanks for the pic. Would you happen to have the part numbers handy?
I might try to get them from a dealer here again. Last time I try they didn't have a clue. If it comes down to if do you think you can get them to work without the harness?

Thanks,

Robert

I dont know what your light configuration is over there, but you must have stop, turn and park light in your tail light surely. I would have thought that your sockets/globes for stop/park light and turn light would fit straight in. Do you have a reverse light in your tail lights?

Dave

The label for the left light is there also now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
