Hello All:

Has anyone downloaded this new version from AutoEnginuity and had a problem?? The problem I have is the software will no longer "Auto Detect" the protocal. I have to manually point it to the Ford number, I beleive it is JPW1850. I can then connect and the software starts to go thru all the sensors(484) and then it just disconnects.
I have had to uninstall and then reinstall the 6.2 version and everything works OK.

no luck contacting Auto Enginuity ?? i had bad lick with t hem so i got rid of mine due to poor tech support

Just this morning, I got an e-mail announcement from AE for 7.1 release. I haven't actually tried 7.0 yet, but 7.1 may fix the problems you've been having.

Here's one of the release notes:
Fixed Powerstroke 7.3L ECM crashing during sensor retrieval

I don't recall what version I've been using, 6.something, and it connects OK, but I've been experiencing data point dropouts when trying to record parameters. I just get blanks (zeros) sprinkled along in the graphs. :shrug03:

A call or e-mail to AE usually gets a response. If you're current on your subscription, they're happy to help out.

Thanks for the replies. I never did see the release notes for 7.1, BUT it sure looks they fixed the problem I am having. Will download 7.1 and see what happens. Will post results for others to see.

Downloaded Ver 7.1 and it fixed the problem with 7.0.
