will an auto trans out of an 85 with a 6.9 mate up to a 94 with and IDI 7.3? if i'm right you just have to change the bell housing over correct?
auto trans??

You can't change bellhousings. The case is one piece. However, I believe the 6.9L and 7.3L have the same bolt pattern.

It is just as posted above but... The C6 is controled by a vacuum signal from the VVS valve on the injection pump. The 94 auto trans is the E4OD and is all electric controled. It gets several signals from differant switches. You can bolt the C6 to a 7.3 but vacuum tubing needs to be run to make it shift from the injection upmp to the trans.

The '94 could be a C6. The C6 was available through the '96 model year.
