I have read around and got all the info for my trans temp gauge. Thanks to the forum and every one else's trial and error I had an easy install... until I started to drive. My trans temps hit the 210 mark with just around town driving. I don't think I installed something right as my torque app says I was in the 180s range. I had the 80 horse daily tune on. Fluid is still bright pink and doesn't smell burnt and it was not shifting funny. I used Teflon tape but I only applied it ti the top 3 threads. should I have not used the tape?

Recheck your wiring- especially any crimps. Mine has done the same thing twice and both times it was connections to the sensor that weren't making good contact.

The sensor should have had some sealing compound on the threads, and IIRC the instructions say no Teflon tape.

I used blue locktite 242. Good for vibration and oil resistant
