For those of you that have seen it, how does it compare to the Royal Red metallic on the 2011 trucks? Brighter/darker/more red/yellow/blue etc. BTW, I liked the Royal Red on the F 150 but it didnt have the same impact to me as on the SD's. Dont know why.

Go to cars.com and search. It is close to Royal Red, but not as berry red. It is more rusty. I wanted the Royal Red for my next truck, but now I may be changing. I don't like the Autumn Red as much, but it's all personal preference.

Well, I think that its the salesman getting bad information from his manager. No surprise. I'll keep looking although I'm leaning toward the golden bronze or the green. I saw the Autum red on a lincoln town car and it looked too much like jam for me. Nice color just not sure that I want to live with it for a long time as I plan on keeping the truck for 6+ years.

Sample Pictures

I am interested in Autumn Red too. I put in "2012 Ford Autumn Red" into google. Then hit images. You will get a lot of bad hits, but a few will be current pictures of a real truck not the cgi ones. Then just hit one and go to the dealer site and see the other pictures. I have found a lot this way, so I have a pretty good idea what it looks like in different lighting conditions. Hope that helps. I also called a dealer in another state. He said it has a lot of flake and does look different in different light/angle. I just hope it is a burgundy/maroon color and not a brownish cinnamon color with the brown hue.
