Just wondering any issues? My 2011 would overflow out of saddle tank vent. I had to drop tank and run a vent line up to head ache rack to prevent that. My 2017 has a 48 gallon saddle tank. Was just curious if any issue with saddle tank vent overflowing.Sure, why?
No codes on 2011. Do the vent line mod. No more issues.I have the exact same issue with my 100 gal tank in my '07. The only way I can get it not to leak is to fill the main tank right up to the cap then put the cap on then fill the big tank. It must have something to do with when it purges that bit of air that is trapped in the filler neck, it siphons fuel with it. Starting around 05, 06, they added a code now it throws the MIL light if you leave the valve open on the aux tank, it thinks the fuel level circuit is not working. My 04 and priors didn't have that issue. Did they fix that on your 11?
Thanks for the tip of extending the vent. I wish I had saw this a couple weeks ago... I dropped the tank to install a fuel pickup for an Espar heater, crappy job, but looks like it's coming down again. I forgot to clip the vent tube back up to the bottom of the box so now it REALLY leaks if I leave the aux tank open so I guess I have to go in there anyways...
Nice!!! Badazz hitch there!!I just completed the install on my under bed cover tank from ATTA. Its a 55 gallon tank and it works great.
