Been a Ford truck owner since 1972, first diesel in 1984, then 1992, 2005 and now back again 2017. The first on was good for its day, had boat load of torque, but nothing left after 55 mph. The 1992 was the 7.3 turbo diesel. IMHO it was the best engine that came out of Ford. In 05 I was sweet talked into the 6.0 POS. I didn't have too much trouble until 100,000 miles. Long story short the engine let go in the middle of West Virgina while towing the camper. Stuck on the side of the road, my only choice from the local dealer was 2015 F250 with the 6.2 gas engine. I hated it from day one. It had no power AND no fuel mileage. Best was 12.5 empty and only 7.5 pulling camper.

In December I dumped the POS and bought this F350 SRW 6.7. So far I love it. More later.

Update

Left Ohio March 29th pulling 7000# camper. Headed south through Kentucky, Tennessee to Alabama. Then across the Gulf Coast to Texas and visited kids northwest of Dallas. Tonight Wednesday 18th in Poteau, Arkansas. We have stayed off the interstates and traveled mainly secondary roads, which means up and down hills a lot.

Truck has performed beautifully! As of this afternoon we have driven 3600 miles and averaged 10.7 MPG! I am impressed. About another thousand to go to get back home.

The story continues. :grin2:
