I have a '99 PS with 225K miles. It started to miss and then got worse over the course of a couple of days. Now it has barely enough power to move itself. Seems to me that it might be an injector problem? I'm going to pull the valve covers to check the wiring. How can I test the injectors to see if they are OK? Any other thoughts on what to look at?

Do you have a CEL light on.Would be easier to check for codes Instead of guessing.Mind you Not all Inj problems will set the Light and Log a code.If you do pull the V/covers off check the Harness connection under the valvecover carefully at the Interior plug. You can run it with the covers off at Idle Oil spalsh is Minimal. Then Unclip the Wire to each Inj individually till you find the Miss,Also this could be related to A compression problem too Hopefully it is Just a Bad Inj for yor sake. You wont know till you find the Dead cyl and go from there..Just be sure theres Nothing that will get sucked into the Turbo intake while your running it.And be careful around Moving parts Like the Fan and such.Another way would be to start it up cold and Check each exhaust manifold port with your hand right after firing it up.If its a Dead hole obiviously it will be cold. They heat up fairly quick.Hope this helps.

Be aware that these injectors operate on 115 volts. Personally, I will not fart around with the injector connectors while the motor is running.
