How do people like there Tecni-coolers? Does it help in spool up and airflow? I was looking at the banks site, but it doesn't say as much about the preformance as the EGT Drop. Any Pros/Cons to the system? Thanks!

[/ QUOTE ]The bigger intercooler is especially beneficial when towing, by providing cooler more dense air. Banks kits include the High Ram and larger tubes to optimize flow. Running around empty you probably wouldn't notice much at all, but towing, lower EGTs and more dense air really helps.

I also noticed a good drop, probably over 100F at any condition I would ty, but up to 200F in some cases. As far as better spool up, it is hard to tell because you don't see the benefit until you are flowing a lot of hot air. By then, you are spooled....in theory, it should help, but I don't think it is significant. Obviously, at full load, it can add torque and HP, so on the dyno, it shows (30HP or so). But you don't get that torque/HP til you are spinning that motor.

One issue to prepare for is the fit of the hot side turbo boot. Basically, it dos not align perfectly, and the long run of pipe to the IC is flopping around. That means the normal vibraions can chake her loose, and they do, fairly often. I hear Banks is working on a fix, but until they do, keep that 8mm wrench with you so you can climb under the hood and retighten the hose clamps. You will have almost no power at all when it happens. I did a fix on mine (see pics). Not everyone has the problem, but that may be because apparently, boot sizes vary, and if you get a longer one, it will fit and stay on better.

Good luck, I still have no regrets, it is definitley a LOT better than stock.
