Bought a '96 Ford F-250 Powerstoke diesel last summer. Ran great. Then the thing up and died while driving it. The Ford dealer unplugged the Banks OttoMind engine calibration module and it now runs fine. My wife pulls a couple of horses once in a while. Would it be worth it to replace the module? And what kind of performance differences should I expect to get? Thanks. Dennis

The performance difference would be exactly the same as what you lost when the chip died....If you replace it with the same thing.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif The truck will pull just fine without a chip, just depends on how much of a hurry you are in.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif

I have two different chips for my 97. I have 6 pos with Tony's and Jodys burns, and I also have a Banks ottomind that came with powerpack kit i bought years ago, before I knew any better. Most of that Banks stuff is gone, except the IC and the 1.0 housing, and the chip. Banks chips are good, and the difference with one, and without one, is night and day. But before you go and spend the money on another Banks, check out some of the other ones from the sponsor list. You will probably save some money....................Dave
