You're right. For some reason I was thinking the added part was behind the wheel well and it's not. Dang... Now I gotta figure out if I could settle for a shortbed or not....
Bed Sizes...
This is a really dumb question and it's kindof embarrassing but can somebody tell me if a full sized 8 foot bed can be put on the frame of a shortbed truck without modifications? I'm finally getting to the point where I can replace my poor truck and I can't imagine not having a longbed but I've got a chance at a good deal on a shortbed truck that has damage on the bed. If it can be done, I could buy the truck and replace the bed with a full sized one but I'm not sure if it would fit...

Yeah, thanks guys. At times I've considered giving in to the short bed but I have always talked so bad about the limitations that they have. My problem now is that I'm out in Cali and for some reason, it's pretty durned hard to find lb trucks out here. In Texas, it's pretty hard to find shortbeds but here, they seem to think that's too much truck. I almost gave into a sb the other day but I'm still holding out. It's bad enough having to deal with the fact that everything costs twice as much out here but...I'll keep looking....
