Hello all,

Grew up on a farm in SW Colorado, drove diesel tractors and gas trucks.

Went to school and invariably ended up in the city for about 25yrs. Now... that Ive built my practice to what I want, I want to move back to the country.

I recently purchased a bit of land in Kentucky Blue Grass country. It fits exactly what I've always wanted... in its rawest form. This is what I wanted, because I want to make it mine, not own someone else's. This puts me in the position that I need a farm truck for hauling, towing, etc. So... here I am... trying to learn about my options... trying to learn about what I need... and trying to avoid as many mistakes as possible while still moving forward.

Thanks ahead of time, for putting up with my questions and providing your thoughts, knowledge, and experience. I appreciate it greatly.

If you're looking for a farm truck I would go with a 7.3. You can find them cheaper and dont have all the emissions crap to deal with. Plus the motor is almost bullet proof they just get broken at 200,000 miles.

My choice would be a crew cab 4x4 obs powerstroke.
If no kids, a regular cab would be fine.
