I am selling my 02 PSD F-250 due to needing a bigger towing capacity. So, I bought a brand new 2006 F-350 crew cab 4x4 LWB Dually with 6.0 powerstroke and torque-shift 5 speed tranny to pull my 36ft. Travel Supreme Fifth wheel which weighs about 15k lbs dry and about 18k – 19k loaded. I will not be towing often, but when I do it will be long trips, up to 3k miles. I am looking for a good chip or programmer for the best performance but will be good for towing also. I will change the exhaust if needed to optimize performance and manage EGTs. What suggestions do you guys have. Is the Edge platinum a good way to go?? I haven’t been in the market for performance parts for a diesel in a couple of years so I am not up to speed on the latest products. Thanks in advance. John

there are alot of options Most choice either the SCT with custom programs or some thing along the lines of an Edge Platinum. It depends on the functions you are lookign for like adjustablity on the fly turbo timer, automatic safety features. Give us a cll we can help you decide or just inform you of the som eof the lastest items on the market.

Just picked up my new truck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It makes a funny sound when turning kind of sharp in either direction, Could it be the locking hubs???

Thats what I thought it was but when I checked, they were in the auto postion. That is the sound it is making though. my 02 made a similiar sound when the hubs were locked and I turned sharp. I will have the dealer check it out.

Check with the Parts Department at the dealer you bought it from they can get Bully Dog for you. They will probably have the Tri Before You Buy available. My truck had the hubs locked when I got it also.

I LIKE HIJACKING MY OWN THREADS /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I repostioned both of my hubs from Auto to Lock then back to Auto and now they seem fine. I am enjoying the new 6.0 a lot more than I thought I would. Now I have to start the performance mods /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just got to decide what chip or programmer to use??
