What is the cheapest place to find a sender for my front tank? I definately do not want to order it from the Stealership.

i just did that on my truck yesterday. if you are talking about the float assy. you can pick it up at oreily or autozone for about 25-30 dollers or you could go over to Rockauto.com and do a search for your vehicle and they will ship it to your door

also, while you have the tank down you might want to check the pickup unit (black plastic with a screen at the bottom) to make sure that it is not brittle that piece you have to buy at the dealer

the plastic/screen pickup tube is not a dealer only item, you can go and buy one foot of 3/8" fuel hose from O'reily's or AutoZone for .99 and put a small section of the hose on the end of the metal tube to reach the bottom of the tank. i went an extra mile and put a plastic "t" at teh bottom of the hose. then hose clamped the fuel hsoe to the metal tube. worked for 18K miles on two trucks combined. total coat was like $1.50 per tank. well worth it....... i thought about that but then decided that the screen should be there to keep things from getting clogged up further up the system
