With the rising cost of diesel fuel I've started to look into getting a tuner for the truck in my signature. I'm not looking for a big increase in power, I just want something that will give me a little better fuel economy and keep the truck relaiable. I also tow a trailer several times a month; everything from a jet ski up to a 10,000 pound 5th wheel. I want a tuner/chip that I can let on my truck while I am towing and not have to worry about messing up the engine.

I was looking at the Edge EZ module because of the increaced fuel economy when set on the lowest setting.

What other options do I have for increasing my fuel economy without spending a lot of money(over $550).

I just got a Quad XZT for exactly the same reason you ask. Searching for a couple weeks I came up with the XZT for the extra mileage and it's lower initial cost. I know there are others but are they worth the extra loot??

5 mpg better is not realistic. With the TS products Box I got 1-2 better if you drove normal. Much better mid-range torque which for pulling really makes a difference.

I think Alot of people get the best mileage running an extreme tune, it's really just can you keep your foot out of it. I think the advanced timing on the lower end of the rpms gives you a same amount of fuel more power kinda thing?? I know I get about the same mileage as I got before the SCT but I romp on it a good amount of the time.
