I am needing to lower egt's but dont know rather to go for a 7.3 intercooler or do water/meth kit. Can pick up about 70 hp and around 250 degree egt drop with water/meth rather the intercooler which dont know what to really expect with that. Any input on either one would be great.

i was really leaning towards putting water/meth on my truck but i got a used intercooler for 300 dollars and didnt have a huge problem installing it but im glad i went with it because its cooling effects are always there, where as with water/meth you only have cooling when you have your mix on hand. but a brand new intercooler can cost more than pretty much all the water meth injection kits so thats my input.

I would do the intercooler if you tow much. Heavy tow at high altitude you might need both with 2's. If you are a hotrodder go with the water/meth. I have one friend with water/meth and he never uses it as he is lazy only uses when racing.

Try checking an auto mechanic for this purpose, car coolers can be more complicated than what you think.

does the 6.0l cooler lower much more than the 7.3? I've read where the 6.0l cooler does not fit very well. How much should I expect in cooling with either one? Needing atleast 350* cooling.

I have read that the people who had made the swap it claims about 100* lower the EGTs, TOWING.

And thats for an OBS with a retro fit 7.3 to 6.0 ? I Heard the 99+ trucks upgrading to the 6.0 and claiming the 100* drop, But just want to besure before I keep looking for the 6.0
