I am heavily considering buying big oil in the next week or so, and I am wondering, what it is that I should be worried about. I don't want to put a major strain on specific components. With my setup, what woudl I need to worry about?

as far as I know, the big oil doesnt put any stress on any parts, just gives the injectors more oil when they need it

i believe some used oil analysis reports have shown that twin HPOPs shear the oil (distort the molecules) - not sure of the severity of that, given the number of people that run it, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue. it's not going to stop me.
i think TheHammer69 posted those results from a Blackstone report.

Yes two HPOP will shear the oil more than one HPOP will. This is only an issue running mineral base oil (group I, II, II+, and to some extent Group III) and running long drains. If you have a reasonable oil change interval around 4-5K the oil will hold up fine.

If you are concerned that your drain interval maybe too long spend the 20 bucks and have an oil sample sent to the lab. You can then fine tune the oil change length and see wear trends developing for your engine.

Just an FYI / 5 consecutive tests....worst case scenario at 2500 miles synthetic SAE 5-40wt tested 30wt. The added pump will effect your oil change interval. Keep that in mind so your engine lives a long life with fresh oil (minimal investment).
