I used the search but can't find the thread I'm looking for. My question is:

If I swap my front springs to f250 springs (u or v code) and then later put on new shocks, should I use the shocks meant for the f250? Maybe different valving for the stiffer springs?

That is what I did. I used the F350 springs and shocks for the front but IIRC the rears I had to stay with the stock excursion because of the way the shock is mounted. Works great with no problems.
For the fronts, the Stock shock for the X on a 4WD is Manufacturer: BILSTEIN New part#: F4-BE5-6208-H0.
The shock I have on there now is: Manufacturer: BILSTEIN New part#: F4-BE5-2818-H0 and is for the F250-350 SD.
The rear shock is Manufacturer: BILSTEIN New part#: F4-BE5-2819-H0.

Hope that helps.

Wrong valving IMO, you don't need to use EX rear specked shocks just swap the cross bar out..5 mins

Cary
Just put the cross bar from the stock shock onto ....? the F250 spec Bilstein rear? I plan on keeping my rear springs stock for now. Maybe add RAS or change to F250 spring later when/if I buy a TT to tow

I didn't know that about the cross bar swap. Oh well, it works as is and the ride is very nice.
